Capabilities

Services

End-to-end mechanical design services for the process, industrial, and manufacturing sectors — from initial concept through to fabrication-ready documentation packages.

What I Offer

Mechanical Design Services

Each engagement is tailored to the project requirements — from standalone drawing packages to full mechanical design delivery.

Mechanical Design

Full-scope mechanical design support from concept through to detailed design. Covers equipment layout, component sizing, material selection, and preparation of a complete design basis aligned to project specifications, applicable codes, and client standards.

Process Skid Design

Modular process skid packages designed to client P&ID and process datasheets. Deliverables include structural frame design, equipment arrangement, piping layout, instrumentation hook-up drawings, and a vendor-ready fabrication package. Experience across oil & gas, water treatment, chemical, and food process industries.

Fabrication Drawings

Detailed, workshop-ready fabrication drawing sets produced to industry standards. Includes general arrangement drawings, part and detail drawings, weld maps, surface finish callouts, and material schedules. Drawings are structured to minimise workshop queries and support efficient fabrication and quality inspection.

3D CAD Modelling

Parametric 3D solid models developed in industry-standard CAD software. Models serve as the single source of truth for downstream drawing extraction, interference checking, and construction review. Delivered as native files, STEP, or IGES for integration into client design environments.

Engineering Visualisation

Photo-realistic renders and animated walkthroughs of plant layouts, equipment assemblies, and installation sequences. Widely used for client approval presentations, investor documentation, HAZOP facilitation, and construction planning — communicating complex design intent without requiring engineering backgrounds.

Bill of Materials Development

Structured, procurement-ready bills of materials developed directly from 3D models and fabrication drawings. BOMs include part numbers, descriptions, material specifications, quantities, and supplier references — formatted for direct import into client ERP or project management systems.

How It Works

Typical Engagement Process

A straightforward, client-focused process from first contact to final delivery.

1

Brief & Scope

You provide project documentation — P&IDs, datasheets, site requirements, and applicable codes. We define scope, deliverables, and timeline.

2

Concept Design

Initial 3D layout and arrangement concepts issued for client review and comment before detailed design is committed to.

3

Detailed Design

Full 3D model and drawing set developed, incorporating client review comments, code compliance checks, and procurement constraints.

4

IFC Delivery

Issued-for-Construction drawing package and BOM delivered via agreed format — PDF, DWG, STEP, or client-specified data management platform.
